On this feast commemorating the sharing of God in Jesus Christ with all peoples, we are challenged to be both as patient as Simeon and as fearless as Anna.
God is doing a new thing in the world, but we might miss it because we expect to see something else. When God extends a hand to us, will we come and see?
Jesus did not need cleansing from sins, nor did Jesus need the gifts of the magi, nor to save the wedding host at Cana's reputation by changing water into wine. If not for himself, for whom are these transforming miracles?
